DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

While conducting technological assisted sessions we recommend you to consider the following aspects, in order to have and provide the best possible experience to your students.

·      Do not broadcast theoretical classes

·      Redesign the “class”

o   Organise the virtual space

.  By weeks, classes, themes, topics

.  Elaborate a student guide, for him to know what to be expected from him, identifying goals and defining the online workflow.

.  Diversify study elements, through:

·      Readings

·      Films (5 to 6 min)

·      Audio recordings (short)

·      Activities and tasks (individual and group)

·      Discussions (peer forum)

·      Evaluation e self-evaluation (testes de correção automática, essays)

.  Provide feedback by “being there” and promoting discussion in the proper places.

o   Conceive a learning sequence, to facilitate its production, such as:

.  Presentation > recommended reading + forum > task > feedback;

.  Task > content > forum + Q&A videoconference > task submission;

.  Film + content > forum > self-evaluation > Q&A videoconference > task submission;

.  Short film + supporting content > task > forum + Q&A videoconference > task submission;

o   Divide contents (both in dimension and length) to promote a better acquisition and access. In films, seek not to exceed the 5 minute mark, spreading the content by topic, in several films;

o   Avoid sending heavy documents to network (lengthy films, high resolution imagery);

o   Diversify the use of tools;

o   Promote flexibility by reducing live interaction (videoconference) and using asynchronous communication instead (forums).

o   Use live interactions to make the experience more human.
